This Tulipán Art & Culture Award supports individuals that are committed to enriching the Hungarian American cultural landscape.

Applicants do not need to be of Hungarian or Hungarian American descent, but they must show a strong commitment to promoting Hungarian culture within the United States. Open to artists aged 18 and older across all disciplines—including visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, folk arts, multimedia projects, and cultural curation—the award welcomes individuals at all career stages (emerging, mid-career, and established) with a proven track record of professional achievements or raise awareness of Hungarian culture in the U.S. Please note, all projects must be completed within one year of the award announcement date.

Grant funding is up to $15,000, depending on the scope and needs of the project. Applicants should include a detailed budget in their proposal.

Applications will open on Monday, March 16, 2026 and close on Friday, May 15, 2026. Applicants will be notified during the week of June 29, 2026.

The Tulipan Art & Culture Award is awarded every year.

In addition to attendance at select Tulipán events, Grantees must submit a final report detailing fund usage, project impact, audience engagement, and key lessons learned.
