Join us on Saturday, July 12, 2025, as the Tulipán Foundation returns to the 9th Annual NYC Math Festival with an interactive experience inspired by the work of Hungarian mathematician Zoltán Dienes. Developed in collaboration with math educator Megan Siedman, guests of all ages are invited to explore the many joys of math through hands-on games, puzzles, and activities.
This year, the Tulipán Foundation is proud to present Let’s Play Math with Tulipán, which will artfully showcase Zoltán Dienes’s philosophy of learning through play. With three engaging activity stations, participants can try their hand at flower-shaped math puzzles, race to assemble giant block games, sort patterns using hula hoops, and create colorful logic grids—all in a spirit of exploration.
Each year, the NYC Math Festival, organized by MoMath, transforms Lower Manhattan into a vibrant celebration of mathematics, creativity, and culture. Held at Fosun Plaza, located at 28 Liberty Street, this free, family-friendly event offers everyone a unique opportunity to engage with math in surprising new ways—and Tulipán is proud to contribute a distinctly Hungarian perspective to this extraordinary day of discovery.
By connecting mathematical play with Hungary’s rich legacy of educational innovation, this program reflects Tulipán’s mission to foster cultural exchange through hands-on learning. We’re thrilled to bring an experience to life that honors a visionary Hungarian educator, celebrates our heritage, and sparks creativity in all ages. We can’t wait to see you at the 9th Annual NYC Math Festival—admission is free, no registration needed, so just stop by and join the fun.
